Happy New Year beautiful readers!!!
I can’t believe that it is already 2016.
As someone who spends most of her time planning for the future, looking ahead, and trying to improve the next time I do something, I don’t spend a lot of time reflecting on the past. However, this new year season, surrounded by people who enjoy and encourage reflection, I was inspired to look back over my 2015 year.
Especially when I got to looking at this blog, I was astonished at the successes I enjoyed this year that I had nearly forgotten!
From record-setting site traffic days to making my first animated GIF, my look back at StrictlyDelicious during 2015 reminded me of all the excitement the year brought.
And it brought a lot of fantastic recipes too!
Here’s a list of the top recipes you loved published in 2015! 😀
Behind my Burrito Bowl Mason Jar Salads (published in 2014, so not in this list), the top visited recipe on my site is these easy, healthy “instant ramen” zoodles! If you haven’t made this delicious work lunch yet, trust me; you need to!
This amazingly flaky, tender pie crust is gluten-free, grain-free, egg-free, dairy-free, and coconut-free! But it’s astonishingly reminiscent of traditional pie crusts you remember! Try this AIP pie crust as the base for your next fruity treat!
This AIP chocolate cake is surprisingly moist and fluffy! It really tastes just like regular cake! And the perfect combination of orange and chocolate… It’s so easy to see why this decadent chocolate cake was a 2015 favorite. <3
And here are a few of my personal favorites from the year!
I gave this decadent fudge out as Christmas presents this year and it was A HUGE HIT!!! Fortunately this easy fudge recipe makes a lot, and I had plenty left for myself! It’s soooo good!!!
THESE. SAVORY. SHORT RIBS. ARE. EVERYTHING.
MAKE THEM NOW.
That’s all I have to say about that.
This post was one of my most pinned recipes this year. If you try these healthy zucchini boats, you’ll see why! Make sure you try this one come summertime!
This lemonade is as tasty and healthy as it is visually stunning. It was my favorite warm weather drink this year!!!
I bought bananas for three months straight just so I could make this decadent dessert for everyone in my life that I love. I’m not crazy about bananas… But I am CRAZY about this banana split!
I use this salt on everything. I’m not joking. Everything.
I’ve already made two batches. In one month. It’s that amazing.
Who knew making homemade chicken piccata could be so easy? And so healthy?! And sooo yummy!!!
Another super pinned post of 2015, these ribs were easily one of my favorite dishes of the year. Perfectly sweet, savory, salty, and tangy, this homemade fruity glaze tastes incredible on baked (or grilled) baby back ribs.
Although it wasn’t one of my top visited recipes in 2015, you guys went crazy for this recipe on social media! And for good reason! Whether paleo, AIP, or not, this creamy, savory, decadent pumpkin bolognese is a sure fire winner. I love seeing you tag me in your versions on Instagram!
This post was the first time I tried to make a GIF, and man was it fun! That aside, this healthy recipe not only photographed well, it tasted DELICIOUS. It was one of my favorite work lunches of the year!
If you missed these recipes last year or didn’t get a change to make them, you’ve got a whole new year to get cooking!
Don’t forget to take a second to reflect on your blessings and accomplishments of the past year! Here’s wishing you a beautiful, healthy, and delicious 2016!!!
