Red, White, & Blue Smoothie

In celebration of Memorial Day, I’ve created this patriotic smoothie! Layered strawberry, banana, and blueberry smoothies, this delicious warm weather drink can be easily amplified with protein powder, chia seeds, flax seeds, or hemp seeds to make it a more substantial meal replacement.

This recipe can be easily increased to serve as many as necessary, whether as a breakfast or snack, or a healthy drink or dessert. Red, White, & Blue Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 c. frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 c. coconut water, divided
  • 1 banana, sliced and frozen
  • ice, optional

Instructions

  1. Blend the frozen strawberries and 1/4 c. coconut water. Set aside in separate container.
  2. Blend your frozen blueberries with 1/4 c. coconut water. Set aside.
  3. Blend the frozen banana slices (with ice, if desired).
  4. Layer the different smoothies, add a spoon or straw, and enjoy!
