A Bittersweet Message for my Beloved Readers

Well hello there beautiful person! I’ve missed you!!!

Where have I been? Umm… Well… To be honest, I’ve kind of been hiding….

You see, I have some wonderful news. Some beautiful wonderful news that I am over the moon about! I’ve been skipping down the streets and shouting from the rooftops. I am so thankful and so excited to tell you…

MY SKIN IS FINALLY HEALING!!!!!

After years of struggling with my skin, this the best news I could bring to you! I’m sooo overwhelmingly thankful.

When I went to my mom’s house for the holidays, after she wept over how bad my skin had gotten, she begged me to talk to my dermatology-lab-manger uncle about my outrageously out of control eczema.

After Thanksgiving dinner (and my mom sneakily turning the conversation to my skin) my uncle recommended a few things to me, and in the months since Thanksgiving, my skin has been better than I have seen it in years. It no longer hurts to take a shower. I’m no longer crying myself to sleep, I can finally sleep through the night, and not be itching all night long! I no longer need to dope myself up with double doses of benedryl every few hours. And would you believe it?! I CAN FINALLY EAT ALL OF THE FOODS WITHOUT ECZEMA FLARE-UPS!!!

Every morning I wake up and want to cry at how wonderful this feels.

It’s the best news I have in my world right now. And I’m so excited to share it with you!

But the news is bittersweet because the fact that my diet has expanded means what I cook has expanded. Which also means what I want to share on this blog has expanded.

On my journey over the past year or so, this blog has really become a paleo recipe blog. And while much of what I now eat is still paleo, there is a good amount that isn’t. Now this blog will start to consist of both paleo and non-paleo recipes.

I’ve fought over this decision for weeks and weeks, feeling as though I might be letting you down if I alter the focus of this blog.

But I am so excited to finally be able to eat a wider range of things, I’m crazy excited and inspired to post about the things I’m excited to make!

I have a great number of new recipes coming your way that I’m so super excited about. I’ve got a tenderloin roast that’s perfect for spring and a healthy dessert that has been my everything.

I hope that you’ll continue to stick with me on this journey, and I can’t thank you enough for following along with me this far! I love you for being such an important part of my support system!

Thank you to each one, and here’s to another evolution of StrictlyDelicious!
